FAQ
What should my child wear to swim lessons? Back to FAQ ^
Children under three and older if not pottytrained, need to war a disposable swim diaper and a plastic-lined swimsuit/diaper. Many little bathing suits have the plastic swim diaper built-in. Girls or boys with long hair should wear a bathing cap to keep the water run-off and their hair out of their faces. This will enable them to concentrate on swimming rather than wiping their faces. Swimsuits are optional.
Goggles: We rather discourage goggles during the learning process so that the children don’t get used to them. Very fearful older children are sometimes helped by wearing goggles, but the teacher can supply a pair, to see if it would be an effective teaching aid.
