Swim Meets
Pride in Individual Achievement
Team members are able to quantify improvement and have fun together with their friends at our local swim meets.
Our Daland swimmers participate in a local league with meets held once a month hosted at Daland. The meets are usually about 3 hours and are a lot of fun. We teach swimmers to learn their times and gauge improvement from personal bests and not place finish.
Competition is not mandatory, but it helps teach goal setting, sportsmanship, and pride in individual achievement.
Swimmers who are more serious and committed to the sport, compete in United States Swimming meets. USA meets tend to be much more competitive.
